1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the RoseVault application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
RoseVault is developed and maintained by an independent developer ("we," "us," or "our").
2. Description of Service
RoseVault is a privacy-first menstrual cycle tracking application for iOS. The App allows users to:
- Track menstrual cycles, symptoms, mood, energy, and other health-related data
- View predictions for upcoming periods and cycle phases
- Log daily check-ins including mood, sleep quality, symptoms, and notes
- View cycle insights and analytics (Premium feature)
- Generate PDF health reports (Premium feature)
- Create encrypted data backups (Premium feature)
All data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store user data.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use RoseVault. If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
4. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- The accuracy of the data you enter into the App
- Maintaining the security of your device and any App Lock credentials
- Safeguarding your encrypted backup passphrases — we cannot recover lost passphrases
- Using the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
5. Medical Disclaimer
RoseVault is NOT a medical device. The App is intended for informational and personal wellness tracking purposes only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition.
Predictions are estimates only. Cycle predictions, ovulation estimates, and fertile window calculations are based on statistical models applied to your self-reported data. They may be inaccurate and should never be used as:
- A method of contraception or birth control
- A basis for medical decisions
- A substitute for professional medical advice
- A diagnostic tool for any health condition
Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you experience unusual symptoms, irregular cycles, or have concerns about your reproductive health, seek medical attention promptly.
In case of a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately. Do not rely on the App for emergency health decisions.
6. Subscriptions and Purchases
6.1 Free and Premium Tiers
RoseVault offers a free tier with core functionality and optional Premium subscriptions that unlock additional features. Premium plans include:
- Monthly: Auto-renewing monthly subscription
- Yearly: Auto-renewing annual subscription
- Lifetime: One-time purchase with perpetual access
6.2 Billing
All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
6.3 Cancellation
You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to Premium features until the end of your paid period.
6.4 Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies. We do not process refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
6.5 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Any price changes will be communicated in advance and will not affect your current billing period. Apple will notify you of any price increase and require your consent before renewal at the new price.
7. Privacy and Data
Your privacy is fundamental to RoseVault. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we handle (or rather, don't handle) your data.
Key points:
- All data is stored locally on your device
- We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal or health data
- We have no access to your data and cannot recover it if lost
- Deleting the App permanently removes all data
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, graphics, icons, user interface, and content, is the intellectual property of the developer and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without written permission
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
- We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components
- We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App
- We are not liable for any health decisions made based on information provided by the App
- We are not liable for any data loss resulting from device failure, App deletion, or lost backup passphrases
Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the developer from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We reserve the right to discontinue the App or any part of it at any time without notice.
Upon termination, your license to use the App ceases. Sections regarding limitation of liability, indemnification, and intellectual property survive termination.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the App or App Store update notes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Apple App Store Terms
These Terms are between you and the developer, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support services for the App. In the event of any failure to conform to applicable warranties, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App or its use. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
